It actually fits

I am 5'6", 120# and the small is perfect. It's a bit loose at the bottom, but I think that's just more of a me preference wanting it to be more fitted. I've washed the shirt once so far and the buttons are still in tact and no fading, yet. I also hung it to dry because I didn't want to risk shrinkage. I'll be buying more of these for sure.

I am very happy with this shirt. I've washed it several times, and the fabric still looks great. It fits great and pairs well with leggings. It's thin enough to not be hot, but it's not thin enough to be see through.
